'London Festival - 2010'

At this time of year, as it gets dark earlier and the leaves start to fall from the trees, Display Team Manager and Coach Sinaid usually has only one thing on her mind - the final preparations for the Annual London Festival. This years event was again held at the Brentwood Centre in Essex over the weekend of 15th 16th and 17th October. The basic idea is that Gymnastics Clubs' from all over the UK (and often from abroad) both able-bodied and physically impaired - prepare a Display and perform it in front of an audience. Men, women, boys and girls can participate and there is often a unique blend of participants - some having fun and some presenting Displays of amazing dexterity, intricacy and skill. On the Saturday evening there is also a Disco to enable all the participants to meet each other and have some fun. This years Disco had a Halloween Theme. Sinaid starts working on the following year's Display almost as soon as she gets home on Sunday night from the current event.
Below is a selection of photographs taken over the course of the weekend. These clearly show that as well as putting in many hours of hard work in preparation - the Ladywell Display Team never forget that all the hard work aside - having a fun time and enjoying the event is at the heart of all they do.
