Gymnasts’ from Ladywell Gymnastics Club enjoyed a fantastic weekend at the recent London Youth Games Gymnastics Competition, held at the Goresbrook Leisure Complex in Essex over the weekend of 11 / 12 June.
Representing Lewisham Borough, our young men and women excelled themselves with the Girl’s Floor and Vault Team winning the Gold Medal. Team member Celeste Edwards won all three Gold Medals in the Junior Category. Alice Davidson won a Silver Medal in the Senior Vault and Quynh Trinh won a Bronze Medal in the Senior Floor.
Sadly, due to injury to key Team members the week before the event, the Women’s Artistic Team was depleted to just two participants, Ella and Sydeny. These two girls’ did themselves proud, with Ella winning the Individual Bronze Medal for her Floor routine.
Mention must also go to our stalwart Boy's representatives Llewellyn Deeprose-Morrison and Theodore Kabeya, who both acquitted themselves very well.
