An amazing effort to raise funds by Club gymnasts'
When a gymnast wants something - really badly - it is amazing just how far they will go to achieve their goal.
Such was the scene over the weekend of 19 & 20 June at Sainsbury's Savacentre in Sydenham, London - where a group of gymnasts' from the Club packed bags for shoppers in return for a donation.
The effort was to raise much needed funds in support of their forthcoming trip to an International Invitational Gymnastics Competition in Malta.
The girls gave up their valuable free time over the two days and I am delighted to say that their efforts were not in vain as a truly fantastic sum of money was raised.
Below is a picture of the girls taken as they joined together in readiness for their incredible effort.
The Club would like to thank Sainsbury's for allowing the girls' this opportunity; their parents for allowing them to do it and for chaperone duty; all the shoppers for their generosity - and last but not least - the girls for their amazing display of stamina and wonderful team spirit over the entire two days. Once again, you did yourselves, your families and the Club proud by presenting yourselves in such a mature and positive way. Very well done!

The girls' prepare for the onslaught!.
