LONDON YOUTH GAMES - 2009
Star Lewisham Borough and Ladywell gymnast SImone Ming realised her dream as she won the Individual Gold Medal at the 2009 London Youth Games, in her last competition as a competitive gymnast. This in itself is an impressive achievement, but when you learn that this is in fact the third time Simone has won this title in the past four years, it takes on an incredulity that may well remain unchallenged in the history of this event. This accolade could challenge her 2007 Lewisham Sportswoman of the Year Award as Simone's finest hour. A fantastic achievement indeed.
